We cut to the broadcast center, where two well-dressed humans sit behind a broadcast booth. With the score in sight, he smiles … then gasps.Ī wicked goblin grin spreads into a bright smile as a chainsaw revs into laugh, then a mad cackle as he riases it high over head and slashes down, cutting the screen to reveal Morg-n-Thorg, ball in hand, slowly grinding towards the end zone, shedding a half-dozen goblins from his shoulders and legs as he does so. Goblins being shoved aside by the steady advance of a Dwarven cage.Ī Skaven ducking one Ogre's clumsy arms, skittering unde rthe legs of a second, then managing to HEAVE the ball away before being buried by three tubby ogres at the same time.Ī Human player, bones broken, being hauled off of the field, only to have a Necromancer stride up, wave his hand … and the zombified player shuffles back onto the field, his uniform now black and red.įour Halflings gathered around a ball on the pitch, each making a “No, after you” gesture, shaking his head, and offeirng another. Griff Oberwald vaulting two skeletons who crash into one another, dropping into a pile of bones as he stiffarms a zombie. A High Elf and a Dark Elf both leaping into the air, struggling over a pass in slow motion. an Orc crunches a Human lineman to the dirt, leaving him seriously injured.Ī series of images follow. if anyone wants to see it, let me know and I'll drop it in here, but otherwise, if y'all want to see what kind of junk is in my skull, here ya go. I'mw orking on the first episode of the regular broadcast now. Just … my life, man.)įor those curious, here's the Week 0 prelim write-up I did, before any games were played. Two mummies with block and guard, three ghouls with block, dodge, and movement 8 (the 4th is new), two Wights with block, mighy blow, and guard, three skellies, and a zombie that he raised from his first game of the season. The lone upside is that I got an apothecary… which I'll need, as next game is against a team *500^ gold above me, who was in the finals of both season 1 and 2 but came up short. Oh, and the loss was so bad, a thousand fans ripped out their merch and swore off supporting me again. He ground it out for seven turns before walking it in, but 1 turn's not enough for me to tie it up (but it would have been enough for him to get a third score if I bobbled!), and I wound up with four casualties, three KO'd, and no injuries whatsoever on the other side (to be worse, he fouled a Blitzer with a goblin, got caught, but argued the call! Arg!) … one lineman misses the next game while another suffered a niggling injury. Second half, being down two players, and now trying to cover more ground defensively against the GobboToss, it was just a murderin', where most of my team got corralled into a tight bunch and could never stand up and dodge out, with the remaining three guys just pinned into a corner and unable to stop the score. that it was only a 2-1 loss is a minor miracle.įirst half ended 1-1, with proper Elfball having tied my opponent into knots for four turns, but his Troll is a throwing legend and lobbed a Goblin halfway down the field, which was then able to run the rest of the field for an easy TD. Rookie High Elf team vs a Black orc team with 20 game sunder its belt, a team value difference of 300K. Turning the figure around you can see “Buzz’Kvarmah” has a skull collectionĪfter the match we asked the legendary Chaos Dwarf Chainsaw looney “Buzz’Kvarmah” for a comment.Oof, that was rough. I love the Chaos symbol on the shoulder pad & chainsaw and also the skull motifs on the knee guards It also is very reminiscent of the old Citadel Chaos Warriors produced in the 1980’s I was keen that this character would have a similar style to the old Marauder Miniatures Chaos Dwarfs and I think Rykar has pretty much achieved this. We have seen a few miniature companies producing Lizardmen Chainsaws and Rykar Jove produced a lovely Skaven Chainsaw conversion a few years back but again I wanted to do something that nobody else has done and decided on a Chaos Dwarf Chainsaw and again commissioned Rykar Jove to sculpt this character.īelow is a photograph of the green and may I present “Buzz’Kvarmah” (a play on Husqvarna the Swedish chainsaw manufacturers) Today with Orc, Goblins & Dwarfs seemingly having a monopoly of most weapons I decided it would be nice to give another race a Chainsaw character. The 2nd edition pretty much allowed any race to pick up a weapon and use it. One thing that has disappointed me with later editions of Blood Bowl is how secret weapons seem to have become very race specific.
